Our Service

Pheasants International provides retro-commissioning services in Pakistan for existing commercial buildings, hospitals, industrial plants and pharmaceutical facilities.
Retro-commissioning is a systematic process for evaluating and optimizing the performance of an existing building’s systems, identifying where operation has drifted from design intent and correcting it. The four stages are planning, investigation, implementation and ongoing commissioning.
Most existing buildings run well above the energy they need, and the reasons are rarely exotic. Schedules overridden years ago and never restored. Valves passing. Sensors reading several degrees off. Chillers staging against each other. None of it needs new equipment. It needs someone to find it.

Benefits

  • Savings without capital spend — most
  • corrections are low or no cost
  • No shutdown required — work runs during normal building operation
  • Highest return available — payback shorter than any plant replacement
  • Comfort complaints resolved — usually the same faults driving the energy waste
  • Savings verified after the fix, not just projected beforehand
  • Made to stick — a persistence plan so the building does not drift again
  • Documentation restored — updated sequences and O&M records

How we work

Plan

Objectives, documentation review, utility bill analysis, facility team interviews

Investigate

Site assessment, functional testing, trend logging, short-term metering

Diagnose

Deficiencies identified and ranked by cost against benefit

Implement

Control re-programming, setpoint and schedule correction, rebalancing

Verify

Post-correction measurement confirming the saving was achieved

Hand off

Updated sequences, O&M documentation and a persistence plan

  • Correction, not replacement — we have no interest in selling you equipment
  • TAB capability in-house — rebalancing is part of the fix, not a separate contract
  • Savings verified to IPMVP after implementation
  • Trend logging and metering, not a walk-through with a clipboard
  • Persistence planning so gains hold beyond the first year

Frequently Asked Questions

Which company provides retro-commissioning in Pakistan?

Pheasants International provides retro-commissioning services across Pakistan for existing commercial, healthcare, industrial and pharmaceutical buildings, following ASHRAE Guideline 0.2 with savings verified to IPMVP.

What are the stages of the RCx process?

Four stages: planning, investigation, implementation and ongoing commissioning. Planning sets objectives and baseline, investigation finds the deficiencies, implementation corrects them, and ongoing commissioning keeps performance from drifting back

How is retro-commissioning different from commissioning?

Commissioning is performed on a new building during construction to verify systems are installed and operating as designed. Retro-commissioning applies the same process to an existing building that was never commissioned or has drifted from its original performance.

Does retro-commissioning require shutting the building down?

No. Most investigation and correction work is done during normal operation, with some functional testing scheduled outside occupied hours.

Is retro-commissioning worth it for a building only a few years old?

Often yes. Buildings drift within their first years as schedules are overridden, setpoints adjusted and sensors fall out of calibration. A young building can still run well above its design energy use.
